Apply by 03 April for Veolia’s Environmental Trust Funding. Veolia are awarding grants towards projects that make improvements to community facilities and the natural environment. Grants are available for both Community Projects, to create or improve publicly accessible spaces for the benefit of the community, and Habitat and Biodiversity Projects, which fund improvements to or the creation of natural habitats.
Apply by 08 April for The William Sutton Prize for Sustainability. The Clarion Housing Group are looking for breakthrough ideas in new homes and existing neighbourhoods that can actively contribute to the restoration and preservation of our natural world. Submissions are welcome from individuals, not-for-profit organisations, and commercial entities. Successful projects should take place within England. Successful applicants can receive up to £50,000 in funding alongside tailored project support.
Apply by 13 April for Waitrose’s Net Zero Farm Fund. Waitrose is launching a £500,000 fund to support its British farmers in their transition to net zero emissions. Part of Waitrose’s Farming For Nature programme, the net zero farm fund will finance projects, by farmers and suppliers, that will support the adoption of low carbon farming practices. The new fund will see individual grants made available to British farmers or producers who supply Waitrose.
Herefordshire residents can now apply for the Warm Homes Local Grant scheme. The aim of the scheme, which starts in April 2025, is to improve as many fuel poor homes as possible, helping to reduce energy bills for the occupants, and cut carbon emissions. The scheme aims to support low-income Herefordshire households living in the least energy efficient homes. The Warm Homes Local Grant will follow a whole house approach. This means ensuring that the building has appropriate windows, doors and insulation before looking at heating systems.
