CPRE Herefordshire are recruiting volunteers for their local Hedgerow Heroes project which runs until March 2025 and they’d love you to join them! As part of this enthusiastic group, you’ll help plant new hedgerows in North Herefordshire. Volunteering days run from 10am to 2pm on weekends and weekdays. CPRE Herefordshire welcome both individual volunteers and businesses looking to participate through charity days. Don’t worry if you’re not an expert – they’ll have specialists on site to provide all the knowledge you need. Plus, they have facilities and refreshments available. Volunteers must be 18+ years old. There will be a special screening of the film “Rivercide”, a thought-provoking documentary that sheds light on the pollution of the River Wye on Friday 4th October at Pembridge Village Hall. Following the screening, there will be a panel discussion with Chair for the evening Tony Norman, The Leen, and experts Nicola Cutcher, Journalist and Producer of Rivercide and Lucinda Lewis, Farmer and Agricultural Advisor for the Wye and Usk Foundation.
