Buses4Us is a community action group set up in response to drastic rural bus service cuts in early 2022. In April 2023 after a year of hard work and with support from a wide range of local organisations, businesses and residents, they launched the 232 Daffodil Line Bus service which restores vital public transport links for local people, and provides a great way for visitors to explore this magical corner of the country. This weekend you’ll find members of The Daffodil Line team at Ledbury Community Day, Saturday 7th June, in Ledbury town centre.

HGN has received the following from Ledbury Area Cycle Forum: Last September quiet lanes were closed to the public to allow for a car rally, centred in Ledbury and nearby villages. The organisers, Hills Ford Rally, are applying to Herefordshire Council to permit a repeat this year. Herefordshire Council received numerous complaints after last year’s event, some of which are summarised in the report ‘Hills Ford Rally feed back‘. Flight Free UK have set up a petition in response to the recent approval of Luton, Gatwick and Heathrow airport expansions. They are asking Parliament to listen to the advice of the Climate Change Committee and not to expand airports. Airport expansion is bad for people living near to airports because of an increase in noise and air pollution, and will also result in rising emissions, at a time when everyone should be doing all they can to reduce emissions.
