St Michael’s Hospice, Hereford are holding a three day plant fair from today Friday 15th May until Sunday 17th May. Alongside the plants there will be local food, crafts, garden furniture and recycled items on sale. Local charities will also have a presence. The organisers are looking for volunteers to help. Blossomtime in Aylton and Putley This annual springtime opportunity to enjoy the local orchards is taking place around Putley and Aylton on Sunday 3rd and Monday 4th May. Blossomtime 2026 sees community organisers, the Big Apple Association, bringing together three venues linked by a tractor and trailer service and each offering a collection of different experiences. The City Nature Challenge is the world’s largest bioblitz. It’s happening this year between 24th – 27th April and once again Herefordshire has been entered into the challenge. To take part, all you need to do is record any wild species anywhere in Herefordshire using the free iNaturalist app, between 24 and 27 April. Your observations will automatically be counted towards Herefordshire’s total for the challenge and you can track progress here .
