The next activity in this year’s Millenium Orchard diary is the summer pruning on 20th July. Planning Since the Blessing the Bees event  Tomas and Russell have been meeting to talk about the future maintenance and evolving the design of the orchard and the millennium green. Tomas has an outline plan that can be used for fundraising and getting more people involved. Everyone is encouraged to get together on the summer pruning day to share thoughts and ideas on this – you’re welcome to come along to the chat even if you can’t make the pruning! Green Group Almeley Talk

The Importance of Flower Rich Meadows The next event from the Green Group Almeley will be a talk from Caroline Hanks of Herefordshire Meadows about the importance of species-rich grassland, and how Herefordshire Meadows are helping landowners and farmers in meadow restoration across the county. Tuesday 16th April, 7pm, Almeley Village Hall, everyone welcome, £2 suggested donation and refreshments afterwards.
