This role would put you in contact with our increasingly diverse and growing network, supporting and delivering HGN’s outreach and project work in the county and administering the systems that support our membership. Diocesan Online Workshop Wednesday March 24th 7.30-9pm Valuing our churchyards Join us to gain inspiration, practical ideas and understanding as we move forwards on our Hereford Eco Diocese journey. In this workshop we are focusing on one of the five Eco Church topics – managing and valuing our churchyards. We have an excellent speaker from Caring for God’s Acre – Director Harriet Carty. Harriet is a professional ecologist and has worked in nature conservation for many years. She has worked with Caring for God’s Acre for seven years. Report from the Joint HGN and HWT City Branch Nature Recovery event

On Wednesday March 17th, the City Branch of Herefordshire Wild Trust and Herefordshire Green Network joined together for a zoom presentation, with Andrew Nixon, Senior Conservation Manager of Herefordshire Wildlife Trust, addressing an audience of over 100 people on the topic of Putting the County’s Wildlife into Recovery. In a wide-ranging presentation, he took us through some of the work that the Herefordshire Wildlife Trust is doing to restore our wildlife, putting the emphasis on connected landscapes to form a green network where flora and fauna can thrive without meeting hostile landscapes which limit their range. Climate Distress Café

Run in collaboration with Herefordshire Green Network (HGN) Monday 26th April 2021 from 18.30-19.30pm In this session participants will explore the psychological effects of the climate crisis and identify ways they can support themselves and others as we all work towards a brighter future. We will together identify the impact of the negative messages we read and hear every day and discuss what action we can take to be hopeful rather than feel hopeless.The session will be run by Clare Cherry – Wellbeing and Personal Coach, along with Kate Gathercole of HGN. It has been nearly a year since The Great Collaboration moved to the virtual world and in that time, we have engaged with more councillors and clerks than ever before. Environmental events and advice for farmers

From Herefordshire Rural Hub Tuesday 30th March, 7pm – 8pm “How to complete your Farm Carbon Calculator, and what it means for your business”. A Free “faster farmers” webinar. Join Becky from the Farm Carbon Toolkit to understand how to complete your carbon calculator and what it means for your business.
