HGN Event: Ready, steady … Starting and running a local environment group

Have you ever thought about the benefits of setting up your own village or local community group but been overwhelmed by the challenges involved? Join our event for help and inspiration. HGN is holding a series of Starting and Running a Local Environment Group workshops at which participants can hear about how to set up a group and get ideas for inclusive activities that local groups can organise. The next in the series will be from 2.00pm – 4.00pm on Tuesday April 14th at De Koffie Pot, Hereford. Part of the session will be Dave Faulkner of Green Group Almeley

CLaN CIC Events HGN GOLD member, CLaN CIC have a whole series of wildlife themed events coming up. This weekend, 11th April there is a  ‘Grow Your Own Veg’ workshop at Greenfield Farm, just outside Hay-on-Wye. Later in the month they have a celebration of their 10th Anniversary plus plenty more. Hereford Quakers Event Invitiation

On May 15th 1.00pm – 3.00pm, as part of the Herefordshire Histories Festival, Hereford Quakers, a group who are GOLD members of HGN, are planning the following event: Shared Conversations – Uniting Diverse Views and Reducing Polarisation.  The theme this year is Investing in Military Defence. They are inviting a wide range of individuals and/or charities to make a 2-minute contribution of their views on Investing in Military Defence, followed by small group discussions on this topic for the remainder of the event which will be held at the Friends Meeting House, King Street, Hereford. People’s Emergency Briefing Film

The People’s Emergency Briefing is an eye-opening film produced by the National Emergency Briefing of an event which brought together leading UK scientists and experts to discuss the latest evidence and why it matters for things like extreme weather, food security, health and the cost of living.
