Grant Funding Available

Small Sparks Grant Small Sparks, delivered in partnership with Herefordshire Community Foundation, has £50,000 to distribute to support informal, grassroots initiatives. Grants of up to £1,000 are available to fund small scale projects that bring people together, build local connections, and strengthen community resilience. Example activities could include creating a community garden, or shared space, running a neighbourhood event or starting a local club. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis until 30th November 2025, or until the fund is fully allocated. Early submission is strongly encouraged. Love Parks Week 2025

Love Parks Week takes place 25th July – 3rd August and is an opportunity to celebrate the vital role green spaces play for communities across the UK. Herefordshire is blessed with an abundance of green spaces and parks. This Love Parks Week you are encouraged to enjoy your favourite park or explore a new one! The Herefordshire Council website has a useful page where you can search for a park by postcode, or by park facilities (handy if you’re looking to explore something new!). Daffodil Line Bus Survey

In conjunction with Herefordshire Council, Buses4us are exploring how they can make buses easier to use for people in Herefordshire – so that more people feel able to use them more often. Part of this project is asking people like what they think, so they have put together a survey about the Daffodil Line – the 232 – and how it runs in the community. Hills Ford Rally

HGN has received the following from Ledbury Area Cycle Forum: Last September quiet lanes were closed to the public to allow for a car rally, centred in Ledbury and nearby villages. The organisers, Hills Ford Rally, are applying to Herefordshire Council to permit a repeat this year. Herefordshire Council received numerous complaints after last year’s event, some of which are summarised in the report ‘Hills Ford Rally feed back‘.
