The People’s Emergency Briefing is an eye-opening film produced by the National Emergency Briefing of an event which brought together leading UK scientists and experts to discuss the latest evidence and why it matters for things like extreme weather, food security, health and the cost of living. The Steiner Academy in Hereford are organising a Root to Fruit festival in June which will celebrate gardening, horticulture, and traditional crafts with carefully selected stalls, talks and activities set in the school’s beautiful grounds. Entry and parking are both free, so they are anticipating an excellent turnout. They are currently inviting local growers, artisans and speakers to get involved. Launch of Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS) for Herefordshire and public consultation There is still time to comment on the LNRS for Herefordshire – a statutory document required by central government, setting out local priorities and identifying potential actions and locations to restore and protect natural assets and species. Herefordshire’s new LNRS is one of just 48 nationally. It was developed collaboratively by residents, environmental groups, landowners, farmers, charities, Herefordshire Council and national agencies.
