St Michael’s Hospice, Hereford are holding a three day plant fair from today Friday 15th May until Sunday 17th May. Food! The Musical is a new project from Footloose Community Arts. It is an interactive piece exploring the nature of food in the 21st century – what we eat and why, and the impact of a profit-driven, global food production system on all forms of life as well as human society. Last November, ten of the UK’s leading experts briefed an invited audience of over 1,200 politicians and leaders from business, culture, faith, sport and the media to set out the implications of climate and nature breakdown for health, food systems, national security and the economy. Meer Common Gathering Sunday 19th April 2.00 -4.00 pm The Almeley Green Group, a HGN GOLD member, has spent the past few years restoring one of its parish commons through a range of habitat and biodiversity initiatives. This has included repurposing overgrown and unsafe trees to create log piles, improving light access to the pond and woodland floor, and clearing heavily overgrown bramble areas to allow native flora to return.
