New HGN member Herefordshire and Worcestershire Earth Heritage Trust has just sent in details of their forthcoming programme of sponsored walks. The Trust was set up 25 years ago to promote conservation of geology and landscape in the region. The full schedule, and a profile of H&W EHT, will be in next week’s newsletter. Walk 2: Sunday 25th July: Landscape and Geology walk in the Lickey Hills
Leader: Julie Schroder
Meeting Place: The Lickey Hills Visitor Centre, Warren Lane, Rednal, Birmingham B45 8ER

Start time: 2 pm (2 hours)
Distance: 2 miles/ 3.2 km
Walk 3: Tuesday 27th July: Landscape and Rocks in Colwall
Leader: Dick Bryant
Meeting Place: H2O Café, Malvern Hills Geocentre, Walwyn Road, Malvern, WR13 6PL

Start time: 10 am (3 hours)
Distance: 4 miles/ 6 km

- How to receive 25% off any Explore Trail Guides or the Geopark Way Guidebook
Anyone who completes the 25 miles (or 25 kilometre) challenge in 25 weeks will receive a £25 donation to their sponsorship fund from one of the Trust’s Friends.
Alternatively, if you would like to take part in the walks but have no sponsorship you can join for a £4 fee per walk, to include a trail guide
