Charities across Great Britain who team up for inspiring sustainability projects that seek to shift the way people live, work and connect with others could get up to £1,000,000 to make their idea a reality!
Now in its eighth year, Postcode Dream Trust, which is supported by players of People’s Postcode Lottery, is making the funding available in 2019.
Stage one of the online application process has now opened and will close on 31 August, 2018. The winner won’t be announced until January next year.
To be considered for the award, the projects must tackle excessive consumption that is often at the root cause of environmental issues and addressing this problem with sustainable solutions. Areas of interest include urban food systems, plastics, food waste and recycling.
The Dream Fund has a total funding pot of £3,000,000 for up to three projects. There are also four other themes for 2019 which are; changing lives through early intervention, ending loneliness and social isolation, protecting Britain’s biodiversity and transforming society through sport.
Not-for-profit organisations are encouraged to apply, but the lead for the project must be a registered charity.
