As part of Refugee Week, the Howle Hill Memorial Garden Team together with the Herefordshire City Of Sanctuary is hosting an Afghan Family Fete on Sat. 21st June from 11am – 3pm at Walford Village Hall, HR9 5QS.
This year, Refugee Week is focused on ‘Community as a Superpower’: Refugee Week – 16 – 22 June 2025.
The fete will include a range of fun activities for all ages to enjoy. There will be an entry fee – Adults £1 and no charge for children.
Funds raised will be shared by the Herefordshire City of Sanctuary (80%) which will pay for vocational training and education of Afghan female refugees and 20% to go to the Howle Hill Memorial Garden (20%) to pay for additional costs incurred in creating the garden.
