Yolande Watson and Andrew de la Haye of Taste of Self Sufficiency on Howle Hill are looking for volunteers who’d like to help them install wool insulation in the floor and hemp batts in the ceilings of their new hempcrete bungalow. They would like volunteers to help them any weekday from Thursday 16th July – 7th August. All volunteers are well looked after and that includes a freshly made lunch. The working day will be from 8.30am – 4.30pm, and we will start and finish earlier if/when temperatures are higher than 30 degrees. If you are interested contact Yolande via caenwood@yahoo.co.uk
Yolande reports that they had a fantastic 7 days with volunteers helping them hempcrete their walls. They will be finishing the gable ends over the next 2 days and their hempcrete walls will be complete.
