On Saturday (11th November) a number of us from the Herefordshire Green Network put on our warmest Transition Network hats, and made the train trip across to Worcester to meet up with others from around the West Midlands.
The aim of our meeting was to assess the potential to develop a new regional hub or network for the West Midlands, bringing together the ideas and aspirations of Transition Network groups around the region.
The day was a rich opportunity to exchange ideas, and a heartening experience hearing about the work of other groups such as our own.
Outcomes of the event included a number of working groups who will develop amongst other things:
- a communication network across the region
- outreach opportunities to engage the ‘next generation’
- a regional network gathering for 2019
We will keep you updated with developments on this new network as it evolves… and also bring some of the good ideas we heard about at the meeting over our fuzzy borders into Herefordshire to one of our local Gatherings soon…
