The Fool & His Dancers

Rob Elliott is well known to many of you for his much respected writings on local food. He is now turning his hand to a long held interest in a different relationship with the land and its potential for local food production – the role of the people, relationships and custom that surrounds the Morris.

In a new book that he is currently crowdfunding, Rob will take us through his personal story of what it was like to spend 20 years as a dancer and would-be musician with a side known simply as Silurian, a group of innovative, iconic and anarchic revivalists of black-faced Welsh Border morris.

… and I’m quietly hoping that I might persuade Rob to come along and talk to us a little about this project as part of the evening ‘Weirdshire Earth Lore’ event during this years h.Energy (14th & 15th October).

More h.Energy details to follow very soon! but make sure it is in your diaries…
