Talk on Hereford City’s Nature Reserves 24th March – CANCELLED

Tuesday 24th March, upstairs room at De Koffie Pot, Left Bank, Hereford, 7.30pm start

Herefordshire Wildlife Trust’s Hereford City Branch plans to kick start its 2020 programme with a talk by the Trust’s Estates Manager, James Hitchcock, focusing specifically on the three nature reserves around Hereford – Wyevale Wood, Lugg Meadow and Hampton Park Meadow.  The sites are real gems, home to some super species, and give people access to wild places within walking distance of the city centre.  These sites play a key role in Herefordshire’s Nature Recovery Network.  The talk will also look at the changes and opportunities that lie ahead for wildlife and conservation land management.

HWT depends on the invaluable support of volunteers to help manage its many reserves across the county so this is an opportunity to find out more about volunteering on our doorstep. Exciting opportunities with curlew conservation and climate mitigation lie ahead, together we can make a big difference to the future of the city.

Cost: £3 entrance which will go towards supporting HWT Reserve projects.  Please come in good time to get a drink in the downstairs bar if you wish, as it can get quite busy.
