Seed swap date for your 2020 diary

The 12th annual Hereford Seed Swap will be held on Saturday 1st February 2020 from 10am to 2pm, at The Courtyard, Hereford.

Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned gardener, come along and swap seeds, plants and tips. Don’t worry if you have nothing to swap, you can still join in and take home some seeds or plants.  Cash contributions gratefully received.

For the second year, seed potatoes will be available – 15 varieties, mainly organic, which can be bought individually.

Are your tools in need of a good sharpening?  Then bring them along for a service. Do you have unwanted and/or broken tools that need a good home?  Then bring them along. The Tools for Self Reliance charity will be collecting old tools, as well as selling a wide range of refurbished tools.

At 11.30am, Sue Maberley will give a talk on Unusual Ways to Grow Vegetables. Sue grows her veg at Nant y Bedd gardens, 1200 feet up in the Black Mountains.

Entry is free; food and drinks available at The Courtyard cafe and bar.
