Queenswood Sustainable Future Centre – opening event Sat 14th March

10am – 4pm, the Jubilee Building, Queenswood Country Park HR6 0PY Sat 14th March

Come and see us for the opening of the new Sustainable Future Centre at Queenswood, the Green Heart of Herefordshire, run jointly by New Leaf Sustainable Development and the Herefordshire Wildlife Trust.

The Jubilee building is being transformed into a new (part time) hub which will be an information and educational resource, highlighting global sustainability issues and showcasing local ideas and solutions to the climate and ecological crisis.

Themed exhibitions, literature, films and workshops will highlight different areas of sustainable development, sharing information and creating conversations about what we can do locally.

See the new ‘air source heat pump’ in action which adds to  Queenswood’s on-site sustainable technology,  including solar energy, solar thermal hot water, and a water bottle filling station to combat single use plastic bottles. The Visitor Centre also sells a range of ‘green living’ products.

Want to get involved? Send us info about your groups and organisations to share. Also Wendy Ogden and Pete Norton from New Leaf will be on site on Sat. 14th March to talk about volunteering opportunities at the centre which will be open every Saturday from then on.

Free glass of local apple juice for visitors to the centre on 14th March. Please note that parking charges apply on site.
