Online Offerings: “Gleaning” training webinars for community groups

My name is James, and I work for Feedback, a food campaigning organisation based in the UK. I writing to let you know of a short series of training webinars for community groups interested in setting up gleaning groups in their area (rescuing unsold surplus food from farms for community redistribution). The 4 session training course will occur weekly between Aug 17th and Sept 10th, and offer participants the chance to explore the why’s, what’s and how’s of running a gleaning hub effectively and safely.

These webinars build on the Gleaning Toolkit resource published last year and participating groups will be provided with financial support to cover gleaning costs during the upcoming harvest season.

To register for free please visit the Eventbrite page here or find out more about the webinars contact by contacting my colleague Phil on his email phil@Feedbackglobal.org. Do feel free to share this with any other individuals or community groups that may be interested in taking part too! We will also follow this up with some bespoke support for new hubs, in the hope that we can assist gleaning activity this year.
