More Rapid Chargers for Electric Vehicles in Herefordshire

From Gordon Coppock, HGN Vice Chair

Some good news about extra Rapid Electric Car chargers that have been installed in conjunction with Herefordshire Council.

One is in the Edde Cross car park in Ross on Wye and the other in St Martins car park in Hereford and now both fully functional.

The signage is still being finalised but the charge points are available for use and have been included on national charge point maps such as Zap Map.

You can park and recharge for free for 30 minutes – the ticket machines will issue a free ticket for this (this should be fine for a rapid charge).  Beyond the 30 mins you need to pay the usual parking fees for that car park.  These units are not intended for long periods of parking but rather for a quick recharge so if you need to park for a long time please use one of the fast chargers or move your vehicle to another parking space once you have finished recharging.

There is another planned for  Leominster early in the new year. Any questions please ask – there is an increasing group of people linked with HGN that can support you. admin@hgnetwork.org
