COMING UP IN THE AUTUMN… Lots of ideas being floated about for the Autumn, such as education, complimentary therapies, voting reform and invasive species. Much more to follow as we come up with plans for the Autumn.
Wednesday 2 September we will have the second of our new series on Food. On 22 July I gave a 20 minute presentation about the theory of food followed by a reading of George Monbiot’s article in the Guardian which was scathing about the pending US trade deal particularly with respect to food standards. We shall move on to some of the other dimensions of food production globally and within the UK particularly food security, soil degradation and mineral depletion.
Wednesday 9 September We have Richard Priestley again for the second of his series “The Big Questions, and Unthinkable Answers” following his first on 8 July which started with consideration of the three big global issues of Climate Change, Environment and Inequality.
Best wishes, Alan & Nat.
