You’ve all been busy asking your MPs to sign our letter calling on the government to bring back onshore wind. It’s working! 179 of you have got your MPs signed up already. If you haven’t written to yours yet, do it now. But as many of you will know, with some MPs an email just doesn’t cut it! That’s why we’re running a training day on Saturday 8th June in Birmingham – to help you meet with your MP and persuade them to bring back onshore wind. The day will give you a chance to build and share your skills so you can get your MP taking climate action. Tickets cost £5.00 or £3.00 concession – this covers lunch and refreshments, a workbook to take away with you, and a follow-upwebinar where you can chat through how it’s going putting your skills into practice. We’ve had that experience, and it can be really frustrating. Some of you might not have met your MP before, and doing so can feel daunting. Whether you’re an old hand at pushing your MP to step up, trying it for the first time, or somewhere in between. If you live in a Conservative constituency, we’d love you to join us for a day of skilling up on all things MP. On the day, we’ll be teaming up with MP experts Hope for the Future and Power for People to think about how we can best reach MPs, talk to them about the issues we care about, and build a strategy that gets them taking meaningful action.
