Run it alone or with all the family. Queenswood country park is without a doubt the best place for an off road 5K Fun Run in the autum.

Proceeds from the event goes to support Hope Spring water charity. Tickets at www.hopespring.org.uk

Art in the Park, Saturday & Sunday 10am – 4pm

Art in the Park introduces a series of land art installations made at Queenswood by students studying for a Fine Art Degree at Hereford College of Arts.

Participatory Walks, Saturday & Sunday

2 participatory walks led by local artist Celia Johnson

  1. Walk 1: 11.30am – 1.15pm This walk takes participants to less well known areas of the woodland to make a creative response to the environment. Walking mostly in silence to draw and/or write in response to the landscape and its ambient sounds. Bring a notebook/sketchbook and a pencil/pen.
  2. Walk 2: 2.30pm – 4pm Bringing attention to the variety of tree species, exploring and using the Arboretum at Queenswood as a metaphor of inclusion and a host/hospitable site, this is a story based walk that begins to uncover the history of the site.

For both walks participants should wear weather appropriate clothing and footwear – the first walk is uneven in parts. These are free events but places are limited. Please see http://www.queenswoodandbodenhamlake.org/whats-on for more information & for booking.

Woodland Activities, Saturday & Sunday 10am – 4pm

Join Herefordshire Wildlife Trust’s Kate Broad for some ‘Wild Recycling’. Come and make bird feeders, bug houses and leaf lanterns in the woods using recycled materials. Find us in the picnic area. Each craft activity will cost £2.
