The Local E Sourced team are all about offering Herefordshire’s amazing products on a single, online platform to create an easy and enjoyable shopping experience for the customer.
We are made up of a local catering company, Field 2 Fork Catering – using links to all our ingredient suppliers and fellow food and drink colleagues, whilst teaming up with a Herefordshire born multi-award winning digital marketing company, The DM Lab.
“Supporting local businesses reduces our carbon footprint. Providing the ‘one-stop-shop’ of all locally sourced products that we do means there is significantly less transportation of goods required.”
We also utilise two local couriers, APC to reach areas outside of the county, and one that has sole focus within the county. The latter is Hereford Pedicargo’, delivering goods locally using bicycles. This has a minimal environmental impact and we are proud to partner with them.
We have paid significant attention to our packaging. Using WoolCool, (thermal insulation packaging) using 100% pure wool for transporting our temperature sensitive food. Our outer packaging is also 100% recyclable cardboard and we are also developing 100% compostable tape.
As a member of Herefordshire Green Network, we aim to reduce waste, improve carbon emissions, and improve efficiencies in our rural energy usage.

We are very pleased to announce that, out of 2,600 entries, we have been recognised as ‘Start-Up Entrepreneurs of the Year’ for the Midlands region!
This award is dedicated to all those who have supported and contributed to the success of Local e Sourced. Now and going forward. Now, more than ever, is the time to support one another.
This award is a significant achievement not just for us but for the whole of Herefordshire. Increasing brand recognition and awareness for our suppliers. More recognition for supporting local and taking the focus away slightly from big global businesses. It is time to protect, promote and celebrate our local businesses and local assets. This award will highlight and raise more awareness to what we are trying to achieve with Local e Sourced.
It’s a collective effort. Without suppliers, we’re nothing. Without our fantastic local couriers we wouldn’t be able to give everyone a taste of Herefordshire. Without the support from so many, we wouldn’t have the courage to create Herefordshire’s first online marketplace. Last, but not least, without our customers, this would be just an empty dream.
