SUMMARY:Growing Local Event - The Big Herefordshire Harvest Eat with Rural Media
DESCRIPTION:Please do join Growing Local (an HGN Gold Member) for their next Big Eat at The Kindle Centre next to Asda in Hereford.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIt’s been a while since their last Big Eat as funding has sadly come to an end. However Rural Media are kindly supporting this special Herefordshire Harvest event in September. They’ll be cooking together a delicious feast using veg from Southside Farm and other produce from across the county. \nGrowing Local have been working with Rural Media for the last couple of years on their Our Place South Wye project. Back in May they filmed young dancers from Melody Dance at Southside Farm. Just before lunch (around 12.30pm) they’re so excited to be able to watch the premiere of the finished film! \nGo along and help cook\, wash up\, serve or eat any time from 10am. Lunch will be around 1pm. ALL WELCOME. No need to book. \nThey’ll make lots of vegan\, veggie\, gluten-free dishes – but if you have any other dietary requirements please get in touch to let them know. \nEnquiries to louisa@growinglocal.org.uk.

SUMMARY:Bartonsham Apple Juicing Day
DESCRIPTION:The Brailsford Hall\, Scouts Corner\, Crozen Lane\, HR1 2RX \nHerefordshire Wildlife Trust is running the event supported by local volunteers. This community event links with Bartonsham Meadows where there is a new orchard which will start fruiting over the next few years. \nCome along to The Brailsford Hall Scout Hut at any time between 1pm-4pm to have a go at turning apples into fresh juice using apple pressing equipment. Bring your own apples\, clean containers and glass bottles if you have some – or there will be some apples available from local orchards. HWT would also love to build a collection of the community’s favourite recipes – so if you have a favourite apple recipe\, feel free to bring it along to share. Everyone is welcome\, suitable for all ages. Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
