You are invited to attend the launch event of the Divest Parliament Campaign in Herefordshire which aims to pressure local MPs Bill Wiggin and Jesse Norman to support divesting the MPs Pension Fund from fossil fuel companies and spark a number of new divestment campaigns in the area.
When: 19:30-21:30, Wednesday 18th April
Where: (tbc) Garden Room, Left Bank Village, Bridge Street, Hereford, HR4 9DG
As well as free snacks (!) you can expect to:
- Get to grips with the exciting divestment movement
- Learn about effective ways to build relationships with MPs, Councillors, faith institutions or universities on climate change.
- Concoct an ace plan to engage MPs Bill Wiggin and Jesse Norman about divestment
Please share as widely as possible among your friends and networks; we need everyone to help pressure our political leaders to keep fossil fuels in the ground and invest in a common future that is powered by renewables.
