As many of you know we have been working closely with the Hereford River Carnival team to help initiate a process of ‘greening’ this huge and growing local festival.
On site this year we hope to have user-friendly recycle stations, a reduction in single use plastics, a solar array supported stage (funds allowing!), plus a river clean up prior to the event.
There will also be an h.Energy Village… This year we will be back in a busy area of the site near the Music Pool Tent, with our own artists, musicians, activities and food stalls – plus a fire pit to warm us if the weather isn’t as kind as we might like it to be…
If you would like to book a free stall for your community activity or organisation, please click here to fill in a booking form. Make a note along with the name of your stall that you would like to be in the h.Energy Village.
Vegan or vegetarian food outlets who might like to join us would be particularly welcome, and we hope to have a small Repair Cafe happening on site – so repairers make yourselves known to us! (email events@hgnetwork.org). Perhaps we could have a small electric vehicle display if any of you with electric cars would like to bring one along and chat to the public about how it is run .. ? And we also need stewards and other volunteers … and of course we’d just like you around…
