This month Herefordshire Wildlife Trust are launching a new Wildlife Watch Club!
The new club is aimed at children aged between 7 and 14 and it meets on the first Sunday of each month. The group will be undertaking practical conservation tasks as well as learning about our native flora and fauna. Their first meeting explored the world of bugs, bees and butterflies and the club then created a deluxe bug hotel for a variety of mini-beasts to live in in the orchard at Queenswood.
Each monthly meeting has a different theme with upcoming topics including: Survival Skills, Moths, Bats, Autumn & Hibernation, Fungi and Christmas Crafts. Children can sign up to come along each month or just book for individual sessions.
Booking is available for individual sessions online at www.queenswoodandbodenhamlake.org or contact Hayley Herridge: email@example.com / 01432 530088 to book onto multiple sessions.
We’re pleased to announce that Herefordshire Wildlife Trust is the most recent new member of the Herefordshire Green Network.
Our network includes more than 40 organisations from across the county – all are engaged locally in issues relating to the environment and sustainable living.
Benefits of being part of the network includes reaching an increasingly wide audience of interested local people via our regular mailings, a showcase opportunity via our monthly HGN Gatherings, and the invaluable opportunity to share ideas and activities with other grassroots and strategic organisations in the county at quarterly member meetings.
If the work of your organisation relates to our areas of interest and you would like to join us, please get in touch! firstname.lastname@example.org
