Bitter-sweet bee story at The Courtyard

A reminder that, in collaboration with HGN, The Courtyard in Hereford is showing a bitter-sweet, award-winning documentary next Tuesday – 12 November.

Honeyland is a heartbreaking and lyrical environmental story about a Macedonian beekeeper’s conflict with her neighbours. The New York Times described it as “a luminous neorealist fable, a sad and stirring tale of struggle, persistence and change.”

We’ve heard on the grapevine that several local beekeepers are planning on coming to see the film… so there may be quite a buzz in the bar afterwards! A chance to join in some interesting conversations and question some experts, perhaps.

The film starts at 8.15pm and lasts 90 minutes. Tickets are £7 (£6.50/£5 concessions), available from The Courtyard box office 01432 340555 / www.courtyard.org.uk
