AECB Convention in Herefordshire

The AECB, the Association for Environment Conscious Building, is hosting its 2018 “Re-energise” Convention at Garway on 14-15 September. It is open to non-Members as well as Members.

Taking place in a new Passivhaus Community Centre in the rural village of Garway, Herefordshire, this ‘escape to the country’ will provide delegates with a unique opportunity to reflect, reconnect and re-energise. There’ll be talks and workshops by speakers including Dr Peter Rickaby on driving retrofit quality with Each Home Counts and PAS 2035, Nafeez Ahmed on coping and flourishing in challenging times, and Dr Steve Fawkes on awakening the sleeping giant of energy efficiency. There’ll be sessions on bats and roofing membranes, building in straw, fire and building post-Grenfell, and of course retrofit and Passivhaus experts sharing their technical and practical knowledge, as well as site visits to exemplary local projects – and an evening of music with food and a bar.

You can attend for both days, or book for just one at a reduced rate.
